Alt J P L on Mac: Lock Aspect Ratio in PowerPoint
To run Lock Aspect Ratio with Alt J P L in PowerPoint on a Mac, install LightningXL, tap Option, then type J, P, L. The same keys as Windows, with the same result.
Step by step
Install LightningXL
Download LightningXL, then follow the instructions. Setup takes about two minutes.
Select what to act on
Select the slide, text or object the command should apply to.
Tap Option, then type J P L
Tap ⌥ on its own to show the key tips, then J P for Picture Format, L for Lock Aspect Ratio.
What Alt J P L does
Lock Aspect Ratio sits on the Picture Format tab of the PowerPoint ribbon. On Windows, Alt J P L runs it from the keyboard. PowerPoint for Mac has the same ribbon but no Alt key, so without LightningXL you click through Picture Format › Lock Aspect Ratio instead.
