Alt J P A A V on Mac: Distribute Vertically in PowerPoint
To run Distribute Vertically with Alt J P A A V in PowerPoint on a Mac, install LightningXL, tap Option, then type J, P, A, A, V. The same keys as Windows, with the same result.

Select the slide, text or object the command should apply to.
Tap Option, then type J P A A V
Tap ⌥ on its own to show the key tips, then J P for Picture Format, A A for Align, V for Distribute Vertically.
What Alt J P A A V does
Distribute Vertically sits under Picture Format › Align on the PowerPoint ribbon. On Windows, Alt J P A A V runs it from the keyboard. PowerPoint for Mac has the same ribbon but no Alt key, so without LightningXL you click through Picture Format › Align › Distribute Vertically instead.
