Step by step

  1. Install LightningXL

    Download LightningXL, then follow the instructions. Setup takes about two minutes.

  2. Select what to act on

    Select the slide, text or object the command should apply to.

  3. Tap Option, then type J D S F T M

    Tap on its own to show the key tips, then J D for Shape Format, S F for Shape Fill, T for Texture, M for More Textures.

More Textures sits under Shape Format › Shape Fill › Texture on the PowerPoint ribbon. On Windows, Alt J D S F T M runs it from the keyboard. PowerPoint for Mac has the same ribbon but no Alt key, so without LightningXL you click through Shape Format › Shape Fill › Texture › More Textures instead.
