Alt Y 7 on Mac: Create a New PivotTable from a Table in Excel

To run Create a New PivotTable from a Table with Alt Y 7 in Excel on a Mac, install LightningXL, tap Option, then type Y, 7. The same keys as Windows, with the same result.

1. Install LightningXL

   Download LightningXL, then follow the instructions. Setup takes about two minutes.

Create a New PivotTable from a Table sits on the Automate tab of the Excel ribbon. On Windows, Alt Y 7 runs it from the keyboard. Excel for Mac has the same ribbon but no Alt key, so without LightningXL you click through Automate › Create a New PivotTable from a Table instead.
