Alt X C C U on Mac: Ungroup Columns in Excel
To run Ungroup Columns with Alt X C C U in Excel on a Mac, install LightningXL, tap Option, then type X, C, C, U. The same keys as Windows, with the same result.

Install LightningXL

Select what to act on
Click a cell, or select the range the command should apply to.
Tap Option, then type X C C U
Tap ⌥ on its own to show the key tips, then X for LightningXL, C for Cells, C for Columns, U for Ungroup Columns.
What Alt X C C U does
Ungroup Columns sits under LightningXL › Cells › Columns on the Excel ribbon. On Windows, Alt X C C U runs it from the keyboard. Excel for Mac has the same ribbon but no Alt key, so without LightningXL you click through LightningXL › Cells › Columns › Ungroup Columns instead.
