Alt H B C on Mac: Top and Thick Bottom Border in Excel
To run Top and Thick Bottom Border with Alt H B C in Excel on a Mac, install LightningXL, tap Option, then type H, B, C. The same keys as Windows, with the same result.

Select what to act on
Click a cell, or select the range the command should apply to.
Tap Option, then type H B C
Tap ⌥ on its own to show the key tips, then H for Home, B for Borders, C for Top and Thick Bottom Border.
What Alt H B C does
Top and Thick Bottom Border sits under Home › Borders on the Excel ribbon. On Windows, Alt H B C runs it from the keyboard. Excel for Mac has the same ribbon but no Alt key, so without LightningXL you click through Home › Borders › Top and Thick Bottom Border instead.
